How to Make The Perfect Apple PieTraditionally apple pie is a favourite dessert in most English speaking countries’, which can be served as it is or with whipped cream and ice cream. Sometimes kids don’t like to eat apple as a fruit so try to make different kind of recipes with fruits and make their food healthy. In this apple pie, you will learn how to make the perfect apple pie.

How to Make The Perfect Apple Pie

Ingredients for Short crust Pastry

  1. Flour – 3 cups/12 oz
  2. Baking powder – 1 tsp
  3. Cinnamon powder – 1/2 tsp
  4. Butter or 200 gm/8 tbsp/8 OZ
  5. Sugar – 4 oz/8 tbsp leveled
  6. Egg yolk – 1

Method:

  • Take a bowl, add flour, baking powder, cinnamon powder, butter, sugar and egg yolk, mix well until it turns into bread crumbs.
  • Then make dough with chilled water and divide into 2 parts.
  • Roll out one part and place on 9″pie plate, prick and apply egg whites with brush, bake in preheated oven on 180 ºC for 15 minutes.
  • Then pour cooked apple filling, cover with other part of short crust pastry, apply egg whites and bake in preheated oven on 180 ºC for 25 minutes.
  • Serve with ice cream or as it is with tea or coffee.

Ingredients for filling:

  1. Peeled and sliced apples – 1 kg
  2. Sugar – 8 tbsp
  3. Cinnamon powder – 1 tsp
  4. Lemon juice – 2 tbsp
  5. Butter – 2 tbsp
  6. Corn flour – 1 tbsp

Method:

  • Take a pan, add apple, sugar, cinnamon powder and lemon juice, cook for 10 minutes.
  • Then sprinkle corn flour and mix well.
  • Now fill this filling on pie plate and cover with other dough of pie.

Ingredients:

  1. Chocolate sponge cake – made from 2 eggs
  2. Chocolate mousse
  3. Spring foam cake pan

Ingredients for mousse:

  1. Cooking chocolate 200 g
  2. Icing sugar – 2 tbsp
  3. Gelatine powder (dissolve in 1/4 cup water) – 1 1/2 tbsp
  4. Ground sugar – 200 g or 1 cup
  5. Whipped cream – 200 g
  6. Cream – 1/2 cup
  7. Eggs – 3

Method:

  • Take a bowl, add eggs and beat with beater until it becomes a cream.
  • Then slowly add ground sugar and keep beating.
  • Add icing sugar in 200 g cream and whisk.
  • Add 1/2 cup cream in chocolate and melt. Now add mixed gelatine.
  • Now take the egg mixture and beat on slow speed while adding chocolate.
  • Then fold whipped cream with spatula in chocolate mix.
  • Now place chocolate sponge cake in spring foam cake pan, then pour prepared chocolate mousse and place in fridge for 4 – 6 hours until it settles down.

  3. Frozen blueberries, thawed – 1/3 cup
  4. Sweet granola – ½ cup crunchy

Method:

  • Pour ½ cup of yogurt into a parfait cup of tall glass.
  • Add ½ cup of strawberries into the glass on top of the yogurt.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of blueberries to the glass.
  • Pour ½ cup of yogurt over the fruit.
  • Sprinkle granola over the top and serve. Repeat for remaining 3 servings.

Ingredients:

  1. Evaporated milk (chilled) – 1 tin
  2. Condensed milk (chilled) – 1 tin
  3. Eggs – 2 separated
  4. Whipped cream – 2 cups/ 400 gm or 2 packets of tetra packs
  5. Chocolate sauce – 1/2 cup
  6. Chocolate essence – 1 tsp
  7. White chocolate chips – 1/4 cup
  8. Dark chocolate chips – 1/4 cup
  9. Icing sugar – 1 oz/2 tbsp

Method:

  • Take a bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, then keep it aside.
  • Take another bowl, add egg yolks and beat with icing sugar until thick.
  • Beat evaporated milk in a food processor until it doubles.
  • Then add chocolate sauce, chocolate essence, condensed milk and egg yolks mixture in evaporated milk and beat for 1 minute.
  • Then add whipped cream and beat for 1 minute.
  • Then add egg whites, beat for 5 seconds.
  • Now put in air tight container and freeze for 8 hours.
  • Then fold in white chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips and freeze it until it sets.

Makes approx 24 small Laddoo

Ingredients:

  1. Besan/ gram flour – 2 cups
  2. Sugar – 1 cup
  3. Water – 1/4 cup
  4. Ghee, melted – 1/4 cup
  5. Cardamom powder – 3/4 tsp
  6. Ghee – 1 tbsp
  7. Salt – 1 pinch

Method:

  • Take a heavy bottomed vessel and add besan.
  • Roast on low-medium flame for 5 minutes.
  • Add the melted ghee and further roast for another 12-14 minute still you get a nice roasted aroma.
  • Turn off heat and let it cool.
  • Make a syrup of sugar by adding water and the sugar melts completely.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes till a thin syrup is formed.
  • Add cardamom powder and combine.
  • Add this syrup to the roasted besan and combine with a wooden spoon.
  • Let it cool till warm enough to handle.
  • Grease your hand with ghee and take a small portion of the mixture and shape into a round ball.
  • Prepare ladoo with rest of the besan mixture.
  • Store them in an air tight container.
  • Stays fresh for a few days.

Very quick and easy peach turnovers recipe using frozen puff pastry. Perfect for Ramadan Sahari or Iftari. Shared by Marium Hamid.

Serves: 4 pastries

Ingredients:

  1. Cream cheese, softened – 2 oz
  2. Sugar – 1 tbsp
  3. Vanilla – ½ tsp
  4. Egg – 1
  5. Half & half, cream, or milk – 1 tbsp
  6. Puff pastry sheet, defrosted – 1
  7. Peach preserves – 4 tsp

For the Glaze:

  1. Powdered sugar – ½ cup
  2. Half & half, cream, or milk – 1 tbsp
  3. Vanilla – ¼ tsp

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Mix well.
  • In another small bowl, beat the egg with the half and half, cream, or milk.
  • Unfold the defrosted puff pastry and place on a very lightly floured surface.
  • Roll lightly to flatten the sheet of pastry.
  • Cut into four squares. Brush each pastry square with the egg mixture.
  • In the center of each pastry square, place ¼ of the cream cheese mixture and 1 teaspoon of the peach preserves.
  • Fold the squares over to form triangles. Press the pastry together along the edges and then seal with the tines of a fork.
  • Transfer the triangles to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the tops of each triangle with the egg mixture.
  • Prick the top of each turnover a few times with a fork.
  • Bake for 18 minutes or until a deeply golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack.
  • When the pastries have completely cooled, make the glaze.
  • Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Stir until well mixed.
  • Drizzle over the cooled pastries.

  • Then cook on low heat until milk dries.

Method:

  • In a sauce pan add sugar and water, cook until sugar dissolves, then add food color and set aside.

  • Then add sugar syrup, mix and add milk. Cook until water and syrup dry.
  • Now add pistachio and put on dum for 5 to 6 minutes.

  1. Ghee – 2 tbsp
  2. Green cardamoms – 2
  3. Cloves – 2
  4. Coloured vermicelli – 3/4 cup
  5. Milk – 1 1/4 liter/5 cups
  6. Vanilla custard powder – 3 tbsp dissolves in 1/3 cup milk
  7. Chilled fresh cream – 1 packet
  8. Sugar – 3/4 cup
  9. Fruit cocktail – 1 medium tin

Method:

  • Take a pan, heat up ghee and sizzle green cardamom and cloves.
  • Then add vermicelli and fry for 1 minute.
  • Then add milk cook till vermicelli is tender, then add sugar and cook until sugar dissolves.
  • Now add custard mixture and cook until thickened to the consistency of a loose pudding.
  • Take it of off the flame and let it cool down completely.
  • Then add chilled cream, mix and then fold fruit cocktail, pour in serving bowl and put it in the fridge.
  • Serve chilled

Veggie Omelette Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Carrots/gajar – 1 kg
  2. Ghee/clarified butter/any refined oil – 1 tbsp
  3. Whole milk – 1 litre
  4. Chopped dry fruits (almonds cashews pistachios ) – 1/2 cup
  5. Raisins – 25 to 30
  6. Sugar – 1 cup
  7. Green cardamom – 8

Method:

  • Wash carrots nicely, remove its skin with the help of peeler , and grate it with thick grater.
  • Heat up ghee in a big pan and put grated carrot in it and sauté it on high flame for 5 minutes.
  • Add milk in the carrot and cook it on high flame stirring it occasionally, this will take around ½ an hour for the mixture to become thick.
  • Make the cardamom seed powder in mortar and pestle .
  • Now taste the Halwa according to its taste add sugar and cook it on low flame stirring it frequently.
  • When it becomes little dry and ghee separates from mixture remove it from flame and add cardamom powder in it .
  • Add all the roasted dry fruits and raisins in carrot halwa and mix it nicely.
  • Serve hot or cold.

Gujranwala Akhroti Halwa

Ingredients:

  1. Milk – 3 kg
  2. Sugar – 1/2 kg
  3. Tatri (citric acid) – 25g / 3 tbsp
  4. Green cardamom – 1/4 tsp
  5. Walnuts – 50g + 280g (grinded)
  6. Ghee – 5 tbsp
  7. Angori powder – 75g
  8. Glucose syrup – 150g
  9. Water – 1/2kg
  10. Flour – 150g

Method:

  • Mix angori and flour in water.
  • Take a pan, add milk and angori mixture.
  • Mix and bring to a boil and keep stirring.
  • When it starts boiling, turn off the heat.
  • After 10 minutes, add tatri and stir very very slowly until milk turns into chunks.
  • Then put back on flame and cook until water dries.
  • Add cardamom powder or seeds and ground akhrot.
  • Mix and add ghee.
  • Cook until water dries again.
  • Fry well, then pour liquid glucose and mix well.
  • Pour in dish, then cover with foil and place in a warm place for 1 to 1 1/2 hours in order to create layers in the halwa.
  • Garnish with walnuts and serve.

Christmas Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Currants – 1 1/4 cups
  2. Golden raisins – 1 cup
  3. Pitted prunes (roughly chopped) – 1 cup
  4. Pedro ximenez sherry – 3/4 cup
  5. All-purpose flour – 2/3 cup
  6. Fresh breadcrumbs – 2 1/3 cups
  7. Vegetable shortening (coarsely grated; freeze overnight to make it easier to grate) – 14 tbsps
  8. Dark brown sugar – 3/4 cup
  9. Ground cinnamon – 1 tsp
  10. Ground cloves – 1/4 tsp
  11. Baking powder – 1 tsp
  12. Lemon (grated) – 1
  13. Large eggs – 3
  14. Medium sized apple (peeled and grated) – 1
  15. Honey – 2 tbsps
  16. Vodka (to flame the pudding) – 1/2 cup

Method:

  • You will need a 1.7 litre/3 pint/1½ quart heatproof plastic pudding basin with a lid, and also a sprig of holly to decorate.
  • Put the currants, golden raisins and scissored pitted prunes into a bowl with the Pedro Ximénez, swill the bowl a bit, then cover with clingfilm and leave to steep overnight or for up to 1 week.
  • When the fruits have had their steeping time, put a large pan of water on to boil, or heat some water in a conventional steamer, and butter your heatproof plastic pudding basin (or basins), remembering to grease the lid, too.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine all the remaining pudding ingredients (except the vodka), either in the traditional manner or just any old how; your chosen method of stirring, and who does it, probably won’t affect the outcome of your wishes or your Christmas.
  • Add the steeped fruits, scraping in every last drop of liquor with a rubber spatula, and mix to combine thoroughly, then fold in cola-cleaned coins or heirloom charms.
  • Scrape and press the mixture into the prepared pudding basin, squish it down and put on the lid. Then wrap with a layer of foil so that the basin is watertight, then either put the basin in the pan of boiling water (to come halfway up the basin) or in the top of a lidded steamer and steam for 5 hours, checking every now and again that the water hasn’t bubbled away.
  • When it’s had its 5 hours, remove gingerly and, when manageable, unwrap the foil, and put the pudding in its basin somewhere out of the way in the kitchen or, if you’re lucky enough, a larder, until Christmas Day.
  • On the big day, rewrap the pudding (still in its basin) in foil and steam again, this time for 3 hours.
  • To serve, remove from the pan or steamer, take off the lid, put a plate on top, turn it upside down and give the plastic basin a little squeeze to help unmould the pudding.
  • Then remove the basin – and voilà, the Massively Matriarchal Mono Mammary is revealed.
  • Put the sprig of holly on top of the dark, mutely gleaming pudding, then heat the vodka in a small pan and the minute it’s hot, but before it boils – you don’t want the alcohol to burn off before you attempt to flambé it – turn off the heat, strike a match, stand back and light the pan of vodka, then pour the flaming vodka over the pudding and take it as fast as you safely can to your guests. If it feels less dangerous to you, pour the hot vodka over the pudding and then light the pudding.

  1. White bread – 10 slices
  2. Sugar – 1 cup
  3. Water – 1 cup
  4. Milk – 2 cups
  5. Nuts (cashews, sliced almonds, pistachios) – 3 tbsp
  6. Raisins – 1 tbsp
  7. Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
  8. Saffron – 5 strands
  9. Ghee + Oil – Enough to deep fry slices (You can use ghee or oil or mix of both)

Method:

  • Remove bread edges and cut bread into triangle or square shape slices.
  • Toast them in oven at 200°F (93.3333°C) until dry. This process takes out moisture from bread which helps to absorb less ghee when deep frying. used to sun dry the bread or use couples of days old bread.
  • Boil milk in a heavy bottomed pan and then reduce heat to simmer and cook until milk reduces to ¾ to its original quantity.
  • Keep stirring milk to avoid solids sticking to the bottom and burning.
  • Add half of cardamom powder and keep them aside.
  • Toast nuts in ghee and keep them aside.
  • In batches, deep fry dried bread slices in ghee to golden brown color and place them on absorbent paper.
  • In another pan, boil sugar and water until the syrups thickens little bit.
  • Add remaining cardamom powder.
  • Add few fried bread slices to sugar syrup until bread slices are soft.
  • Arrange softened slices in a serving bowl.
  • Do previous step with the remaining fried bread slices in batches.
  • Discard syrup if there is any left over or use it for other recipes.
  • Pour warm milk on softened bread slices and garnish with toasted nuts.
  • Serve warm or chilled depending on your preference.

  6. Garnish with pistachio (optional)

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (176.667°C).
  • Use a large pot so the mixture does not boil over.
  • Mix all ingredients except nuts.
  • Put in pot and put in the oven for 45 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Prepare a dish with grease or wax paper.
  • Put in the prepared dish and decorate with nuts.

Cookie Dough Pizza Hut Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Plain flour – 150 gm
  2. Light brown sugar – 100 gm
  3. Caster sugar – 100 gm
  4. Butter – 125 gm
  5. Vanilla essence – 2 tsp
  6. Egg – 1
  7. Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
  8. Chocolate chips – 75 gm

Method:

  • Add butter and both sugars in a bowl and mix until it becomes cream.
  • Then stir in egg and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add chocolate chips, flour and baking powder and mix until you have a sticky dough.
  • Spoon dough into a cake tin or for individual serving, divide batter evenly between six lightly greased ramekins and smooth surface.
  • Bake in preheated oven on 180°C for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Served warm with ice-cream and topped with chocolate sauce.

  4. Coconut essence – 1/2 tsp
  5. Coconut milk – 1 cup (canned)

  8. Pistachio – 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Pour milk in a pan and bring to boil.
  • Then add ground rice and cook until rice is tender.

  • Finally add coconut essence.

For sponge:

  1. Egg -1
  2. Plain flour – ½ cup
  3. Ground sugar powder – ½ cup
  4. Oil – ½ cup
  5. Baking powder – ½ tsp
  6. Vanilla essence – ½ tsp

Method for Sponge:

  • In a bowl add 1 egg, oil, ground sugar, vanilla essence and baking powder; beat well.
  • Now add flour and fold it properly.
  • Now grease the oven tray and pour the mixture and put it into a pre-heated oven for 20 minutes on 200 degree centigrade or cook in microwave for 4 minutes.

For Topping:

  1. Condense milk – 1 tin
  2. Pineapple – 1
  3. Eggs – 4
  4. Milk – 2 cups
  5. Vanilla essence – ½ tsp

Method for Topping:

  • In a bowl, add 2 cups of milk, condensed milk, vanilla essence and 4 eggs, and blend well.
  • When sponge is done, take it out from the oven or microwave, place pineapple pieces.
  • Then pour the prepared mixture and bake it again for half an hour.
  • Garnish with strawberry slices and serve.

How to Make Delicious Falooda Dessert. Falooda Dessert is a cold and sweet beverage with many ingredients very popular in South Asia. Traditionally it is made by mixing rose syrup with vermicelli, basil (takmaria) seeds, jelly pieces along with milk and ice cream.

Ingredients:

  1. Falooda Vermicelli – 1 cup
  2. Milk – 1 glass
  3. Ice – 1 cup crushed
  4. Pineapple chunks – 1 cup
  5. Ice cream – 2 scoop
  6. Sugar syrup – ½ cup
  7. Cooked green jelly – ½ packet
  8. Cooked red jelly – ½ packet
  9. Kewra water – 1 tsp
  10. Basil seeds (soaked) – 1 tsp
  11. Rose syrup – 2 tbsp
  12. Almond & pistachio – 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Take 2 tall glasses, add crushed ice, then falooda vermicelli, then milk, then green jelly cubes, then pineapple chunks, then sugar syrup, then soaked basil seeds, then red jelly cubes, then kewra water, then Rose syrup and ice cream.
  • Lastly sprinkle with chopped almond and pistachios.
  • Serve chilled.

Quick Tiramisu Gordon Ramsay

Ingredients:

  • Mascopane cream cheese – 200 gm
  • Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
  • Instant coffee mix – 1 cup
  • Fresh cream – 150 ml
  • Icing sugar – 3 tbsp
  • Lady fingers – 6
  • Chocolate – as required
  • Coco powder – as required

Method:

  1. Take a bowl, add mascopane cheese cream, vanilla essence and mix well.
  2. Then add instant 1 cup coffee mix, it should be cold. Mix it well.
  3. In another bowl, add 150 ml cream, icing sugar and beat until it’s a little bit thick.
  4. Then add this lightly whipped cream in cheese cream and mix well.
  5. Now dip lady fingers in coffee (separately make coffee). Place in tall glasses, pour cream cheese mix and put in the fridge for 20 minutes.
  6. Then garnish with grated chocolate and sprinkle coco powder and serve.
  7. Italian tiramisu with lady fingers is done.
